Dino Faults Recall Process it with Evidence as INEC fix 3rd July to Begin Recall

The Independent Electoral commission has officially written to Sen. Melaye Dino informing him of the receipt of petitions demanding for his recall.
The commission also made it clear that it will start the recall process on the 3rd of July with a verification exercise.

In a reaction to all the qualms surrounding his recall, Senator Dinor has released detailed document faulting the recall process. Dino said Governor Yahaya Bello had manipulated the recall process. 

According to him, one of the persons who coordinated the activities told him he was paid N100k to carry out the process. He revealed how they transferred information from INEC register to the recall register and forged their signatures. He said the activity must have been masterminded by Governor Yahaya Bello whom he described as 'intellectual stagnant and confused’. He said the 'Olodo Governor' forgot that there is what is called verification. Speaking further, he said that they did not get the process right.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) held its regular weekly meeting today and considered the petition submitted by some registered voters from Kogi West Senatorial District to kickstart the process of recalling Senator Dino Melaye.

In accordance with the INEC guidelines for the recall of members of the National Assembly, the Commission has formally acknowledged the receipt of the petition to the petitioners’ representatives and has conveyed a letter notifying Senator Melaye of our receipt of the petition.

The next step is to verify that the petitioners are registered voters in the Kogi West Senatorial District.

INEC will, on the 3rd of July, 2017 issue a public notice stating the day(s), time, location and other details for the verification exercise.
