Cross
River whistle blower and a strong critic of Governor Benedict Ayade’s led
administration Mr. Ifere Paul has been called upon to stop his town crying act
against the government of the day in the state.
According
to the caller whose identity Mr. Ifere refused to disclose, Ifere’s constant whistle
blowing about the misdeed of the government is having an adverse effect on the
policies of the state. Which have in turn driven away investors and tourist
from the state.
“They
said I am irrelevant. That I am just a notice me seeker.
But they came calling yesterday. That I chase
investors from the State through my articles on embezzlement by the government
and crimes of cultists as appointees. And general lack of law and order in
Cross River State.” Mr.
Ifere said.
Mr.
Ifere who disclosed this this morning said they had always said he was a noise
maker who is seeking for attention but now they are coming to him, asking him
to stop his articles, that he should withdraw his petitions from EFCC with a
promise to give him a car and whatever he wants and to take care of all his
needs.
Mr.
Ifere who said though the offer was juicy and tempting, but he had to reject it
because he puts the masses first in all his dealings in life.
“One
thing I told them when they came was that I don't need their appointment,
money, or gift items. And I told them that I will tell you that they came
begging me to stop informing you of their deficiencies.” He said.
Mr.
Ifere’s statement reads in full:
They
said I am irrelevant. That I am just a notice me seeker.
But they came calling yesterday. That I chase
investors from the State through my articles on embezzlement by the government
and crimes of cultists as appointees. And general lack of law and order in
Cross River State.
They
came calling oo. That I should stop writing my articles oo. They came oo. And
they promised to do everything to ensure that my needs are taken care off. They
came and told me that they will buy me a car of my choice.
I
was tempted to tell them that I need a BMW X5 2016 Limited Edition. Chai!!! Who
no like better thing? But then, I don't need a gift from the two voodoo pot
owners.
They
came that I should listen to them. That I should stop writing to EFCC. They
said I should withdraw my petitions from EFCC. That I am giving the State a
negative outlook.
Hmmmm.
I'm just wondering sha. Because I know I am not a lazy man. I am
hardworking. I don't need a car from them. They should give it to their
appointees.
Chief Okoi
Obono-obla gave me a car moments before I moved to my house. I refuse the car
because for me, he has done enough for me already.
If
I need a car so badly, I know my boss will give me one immediately. But I am
not one who sits down waiting for freebies. Like my house, I don't need a car
from anyone so that people don't tell me that so so and so bought me a car.
Yes!
I am proud. My mum warned me never to take too much of free things. That
"you will not value them as much as you will value the one you buy for
yourself."
One
thing I told them when they came was that I don't need their appointment,
money, or gift items. And I told them that I will tell you that they came
begging me to stop informing you of their deficiencies.
But
I did ask them for something in return. That they should appear in court to
answer to my suit against them on declaring Ifere Paul, the most popular
Facebook town-crier wanted.
Imagine
that they did not even know I was declared wanted. I told them that a man will
fight back once he's pushed to the wall.
And
they asked me for an out of court settlement. My lawyer has just informed me
that there will be no out of court settlement.
