|11th January, 2018 | Ukorebi Esien

In an online poll conducted by Ukorebi Esien of the Daily News NG, Cross Riverians voted against a second  chance to be given to the Northern Senatorial district of Cross River State to produce the next governor of the state come 2019, owing to the poor performance of the Present Governor of the state Prof. Sen. Ben Ayade, who incidentally comes from the Northern Senatorial District of Cross River State. ThedailyNews can report.

The online line pool which lasted for 6 days had 42 people voting with 20 persons i.e 48% of the voters voting in favour of the North while 22 persons making 52% of the voters voted against the North

The Poll asked The Question "'Should Cross River State Northern Senatorial District be given a second Chance to produce the Governor come 2019?' Voters were given the option of choosing between YES and NO.

Recall that they had been arguments and counter arguments that Northern Senatorial district of Cross River state should not be given a chance to produce the next governor of the state due to the abysmal performance of the present governor.

Others are of the opinion that the North should be allowed to complete their 8 year term just as other senatorial districts did.

Some are also saying that two term is not automatic that the north should contend for it.

Whatever the case may be, 2019 is the decider and the judge of the game
