Central Traditional Rulers council endorses Ayade in Ikom

Traditional Rulers from the central senatorial district of Cross River State have all stood up in one voice to endorse the digital governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof Ben Ayade for a second term of four years. Thedailynewsng can affirm. 

The traditional rulers who spoke through their spoke person, His Royal Highness Ntol Peter Njokeku, Paramount Ruler of Ikom said their votes are intact for Ayade, if they allow another person into government house,  it won't go well with the people of central and cross Riverians at large, therefore, they implore the governor to continuity, that come 2019 Ayade will be there for them. 

 'You've done marvellously well. We have seen you as number one and we endorse you for 2019.' The Monarch declared. 

'We employ you for continuity 2019, we therefore endorse you to be there for us.' He concluded.

The Monarchs made this known in an enlarge endorsements forum held at the Ikom township stadium Friday, 23 February 2018.

The event which was well attended saw the stadium almost filled to capacity. With many party faithfuls drawn across the six local government areas that makes up central cross River. 

In his response, the governor thanked all those present and the people of the central for finding his government worthy of continuity,  he lauded the monarchs for the corporations he had enjoyed from them his his assumption of office. 

Also at the event to endorse the governor were the likes of Ntufam Sandy Onor, aka Original Caterpillar, who said  'many political giants have returned to the PDP party to give the party weight and make it the party to beat.'

Barr. Chris Agara to the crowd that As a digital Governor, Ayade is a very special man, he is the only Governor that has brought an industry to Ikom. The Cocoa Processing industry, here in Ikom. Barr. Agara who has indicated interest to represent Ikom and Obubra in the Federal House said he is here to support the Governor with facts such as payment salaries even with lean allocations. 

The motion of endorsement was moved by Hon. Mike Etaba, Member representing Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives. He said, "We are not ready to endorse any other person than Governor Ayade. I hereby move that Ayade returns to Government House in 2019".

The motion was seconded by Hon. Fred Osim.
