NAOS WW empowers Sec. School students in Odukpani

The National Association of Odukpani Students world wide has empowered over 500 Secondary school students in Odukpani Local Government Area with life changing information that will help them lead a profitable life after school. Thedailynewsng can affirm.

This happened in a one day sensitisation outreach targeted at equipping young ones in the rural areas with information that will sustain them after school as well as prepare them for the future.  The event which also featured a debate competition among participating secondary schools in Odukpani had 'Life After School' as its theme. 

While addressing the students, Mr.  Joseph Edet CEO Lashakara Clothing advised them to start plan for their future as they look for ways they can keep themselves productively busy. 

"You are not to small to be a millionaire,  this generation is called the Z generation. Your generation is possible, if you could believe in yourself and take the needed steps, you will surely become great."  Mr.  Edet advised the students. 

Also speaking were the duo of Mr.  Esuabana who advised them to work hard to achieve either their educational or vocational career as the case maybe. While Mr. Kingsley Ikpeme DG Greater Calabar Capital City Development Authority warned the students to stay out of cultism and hard drugs as it has adverse effect such as death, drop out from school, madness etc. 

The event came to a climax with the presentation of prizes and trophy to the winning schools of the debate competition. 

The debate which  had 'Internet has a bad influence on the educational performance of Nigerian Teenagers' as its topic saw students of Community Secondary school Odot Edion clinching the trophy while St. Matthew Secondary school and Government Technical College Efut Ibonda came 2nd and 3rd respectively. 

Speaking with news men after the event, the students expressed gratitude to National Association of Odukpani students for the enlightenment stating various lessons and new ideas they are all taking home from the event. 

The president Miss Valentina Ekpenyong Ndarake said she feels fulfilled and satisfied having imparted on the next generation. She expressed gratitude to all sponsors, speakers and all those who have made the event a success.
