Again Ayade debunks rumours concerning his 2019 ambition

As the 2019 elections begin to gain momentum, several speculations and rumors have been flying around as regard the aspiration of the executive governor of the state Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade.

First, there have been several speculations, permutations, and rumors by political pundits and rumor mongers alike that the digital governor has concluded plans to defect to APC, later it was said that he is likely to defect to the newly registered Sowore's AAC.

In all these, the governor kept assuring his loyalist and the general public that he still remains and will ever remain a diehard member of the PDP.

Fortunately or(and) unfortunately, Ayade is still holding on with the PDP despite the challenges and perceived troubles he is romoured to be passing through in the hands of his party at the national level.

And the latest in the lines of rumours against the governor is that Ayade has ordered a team of his Special Assistants to begin the process of compiling names of delegates in preparation for the forth coming party delegate congress.

And again for the umpteenth time, the governor is taken pains to refute the claims.

The statement reads in full:

Special announcement

The attention of the Office of the Governor of Cross River State has been drawn to a false and misleading information making the rounds that the state governor, His Excellency, Prof. Ben Ayade recently issued an order to his appointees to compile names of persons as delegates for the forthcoming People's Democratic Party (PDP) primaries.

This claim is not only malicious and misleading but patently false.

The governor simply asked for a strategy and technical paper on the various steps required to be taken towards the party primaries, not a delegate list collection nor zoning to be carried out.

Be so advised, please.

Ayade seems to be a cat with many lives because none of the speculations about his 2019 ambition has come to fruition. He keeps playing the game calm and steady with many of his enemies put in a state of concussion as their speculations keep failing.

If the trend of failed speculations, rumors and permutations continues this way, then one is forced to believe that indeed Ayade might stroll into government house come 2019.
