CRSHA lost another member to death barely 3 months after Ukpukpen death

Barely three months after the Cross River State House of Assembly lost a lawmaker in the person of Rt. Hon. Stephen Ukpukpen of Obudu state constituency who died on May this year and buried July, another has been reported dead.

Rt. Hon. Nkoro Simon Egbong representing Ikom II Constituency at the floor of the 8th Cross River State House of Assembly was reported dead at the early hours of Sunday 26th August 2018. Thedailynewsng can report authoritatively.

The lawmaker who is said to have recently returned from a medical treatment in far away India was was the Deputy Leader of the House and a 3rd term member of the house.

Sources have it that Egbong, whose situation got worst a few weeks ago, and was placed on life support at the Teaching Hospital Calabar until his death, he has gotten 4 medical interventions from the current administration all to India, and he had an undisclosed terminal ailment.

Recall that the Assembly had held a solemn assembly in the chambers where prayers where renders against untimely deaths of members This will be the second House member to have passed on during active service and for medical reasons, Rt. Hon. Stephen Ukpukpen being the first.

Also recall that Mrs. Abbey Ukpukpen, wife of the late Hon. Ukpukpen has since been elected by the constituency to replace the late husband.
