Automatic ticket: I am still in the race, Joseph Edet assures supporter

A young and vibrant contender duped to be a frontline aspirant for the seat of Federal House of Representative seeking to represent Calabar Municipality and Odukpani, has assured his teeming supporters that despite stories of the purported automatic ticket issued by the National Working Committee of his party the PDP, to NASS members, he is still in the race and have not backed out.

According to a statement signed by Mr. Joseph Edet and made available to TDN, the young entrepreneur work is on the way to upturn the obnoxious decision of the party and he believes a good conclusion will be reached favoring Odukpani.

The statement reads in full:

I JOSEPH EDET haven't backed down from the race. We are working on calling off the Automatic Ticket decision and hope that a good conclusion will be reached favoring Odukpani. We hope to complete this journey.
We believe it is the turn of Odukpani and our voices must be heard!

Nonetheless we respect the decisions of the entire Leadership of Odukpani and the Government of CRS to wisely settle the matter in favor of us as we follow their leadership.
God Bless Odukpani,
God Bless Cross River State.

Joseph Edet (Lashakara)
(Cal Muni/Odukpani Fed. Constituency).

Shortly after the statement got to our newsroom, report flew in that some aggrieved NASS aspirants of the PDP were at the party secretariat to protest the automatic ticket decision as they said it will only lead to the failure and demise of the party.
