Later in the day, High Chief Edem Duke met with Southern APC Youth Leaders in the state at his residence where he shared his vision and reason for running for the number one seat in the state with them. Duke also carried out a SWOT analysis of his election with the group.

He further debunked the news that he had sold out his hotel to avoid bankruptcy. He said the property had been in the management of an external body who had not paid him for over ten years and as such he decided to convert the property to his private residence.

The group had earlier pledged their support for his candidacy stating that aside from being the first person to recognize them, he also has the capacity to lead the state aright.
