CNPP puts finishing touches to adopt candidates for 2019 Elections, holds first interactive session

The Cross River State chapter of Conference of Nigerian Political Parties,CNPP, has set the ball rolling as they prepare to adopt candidates they will be supporting during the forthcoming general elections with the hosting of its first interactive session in Calabar.

Speaking at the interactive session, Mr. Sunday Michael, the state chairman of CNPP said the meeting was necessary as the election is fast approaching and strategies needed to be put in place to ensure a peaceful election as well as make sure every political party is effectively represented in the forthcoming political desenpsation. 

He further enlightened members present on the strenght and roles of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP), stating that CNPP's role transcends beyond advisory to even adoption of candidates.
In his words, CNPP has a wider scope, to the extend that CNPP advises, CNPP can adopt, and it's not limited to INEC. CNPP is the Mobil police force of IPAC".

Mr. Michael, also used the opportunity to advice members to be vigilant and observant as with the corporation of relevant bodies, CNPP will ensure the 2019 election  is not rigged. 

The interactive session which was well attended by representatatives of over 30 political parties featured delebrations on strategies and criteria that will be used in adopting candidates to support during the election.

High point of the session was the cutting of CNPP unity cake and presentation of manifesto by some candidates present. While the group promised to get back to the candidates who presented themselves, January, 2019 was picked as when it will begin it's adoptiong of candidates beginning with national Assembly.
