"You lack the powers to threaten and undermine me", Usani blast Hilliard Ettah

The factional Gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Cross River State, Pastor Usani Usani has taken a blow at the National Vice chairman, South South of his party, Hon. Hilliard Ettah stating that the latter has no constitutional authority to compel him to stop parading himself as the party's gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming elections.

Usani who was reacting through the Director General of his campaign organisation, Pastor Ekpenyong Cobham to a Daily Trust publication of Monday 10th December 2018, credited to Hilliard Ettah, said the party chieftain is trying to use the back door to place a seal on the illegality he perpetuated during the primaries.

Pastor Cobham who argued that the constitution of Nigeria is superior to every other law in the country" and guarantees the right of every Nigerian to seek redress when his or her right is impeded also said "It is a known fact that Etta and his co-travellers are in contempt of subsisting court orders upon which they flagrantly went ahead to conduct the so called primaries which produced their default candidates".

"As we speak we are in court to seek redress as constitutionally empowered, but Etta and the National Working Committee members have tried to enthrone despotism in the party against all constitutional provisions which guarantee our rights".

"It is a well known fact that even the President himself has come out to affirm the rights of party faithful to seek redress where ever their rights are abused".

The DG noted that Etta lacks the authority and power to threaten, insult and undermine the Hon Minister of Niger Delta affairs when he Etta is aware that the matter is in a court of law.
