Obudu Traditional Rulers Extol Ayade's developmental projects in Obudu

Ayade's appointees shore up support for Governor's re-election
...Hold town hall meetings

Political appointees of His Excellency,Prof. Ben Ayade from Obudu local government area have called on their kinsmen to cast their votes in unison for the re-election of the governor in the March 2, gubernatorial election in the state.


The appointees said based on the quality of projects executed and massive development, the governor has brought to bear on communities within Obudu local government and the state in general, the people have every reason to reward Sen. Ayade with another four year tenure.


One of the leaders of the political aides, Chief. Tony undiandeye, who made the call at a meeting held in Obudu to survey the need assessment and to mark a quick win in Obudu Local Government assured that Governor Ayade would restructure the Obudu Local Communities and Wards via dynamic project in the establishment of Solar Lights, Mini Bridges, Roads constructions, provision of Water supply and Bore holes in the ten (10) wards of the Local Government Area.


He said Governor Ayade holds the traditional institution in high esteem saying no great leader can perform without the involvement and support of a community paramount ruler.


Tony undiandeye, disclosed that the Governor would continue to work with the various clans head and community leaders for the execution of these projects.


According to him "the implementation of these projects is slated for between February and March 2019" noting that a report will be presented to the governor on the agreement reached at the meeting.


The Governor's aides also informed that their principal is willing to earmark at least N15 million to N20 million for the ward and community projects to improve the wellbeing of the people.


Also, addressing the meeting, Hon. Kenn  Aklah, the Hon. SA to the Governor on Events Management, explained that the Commissioner for Environment in conjunction with the Commissioner of Local government would carry out the need assessment and identify immediate projects needed for the betterment of the community.


He requested for the clans head and community leader's involvement in the monitoring of the projects assuring that the money will be disbursed through the local government council and projects to be executed will be clearly spelt out.


Responding, the Paramount ruler and council head, HRM, Uti Joseph Davies Agba, expressed delight with the Governor's aides and welcome the development of Obudu Local government projects.


He said the projects would better the communities lives and create an enabling environment to spur development and ease farmers accessibility to home's.


His Royal Highnesses,Uti Agba, appraised the wonderful package initiated by His Excellency, Governor Ben Ayade saying the projects are coming at the right time. He further, assured the aides that all hands will be on deck for the implementation of the projects across the communites and wards in Obudu and also declared support for Ayade's second term bid.


Also speaking at the meeting, the PDP Chairman, Obudu local government Chapter, Dennis Nchor, said the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the way forward and the second bid term of Prof. Ben Ayade.


Chief Tony undiandeye, charged the appointees and persons present to ensure they work for the re-election of Prof. Ayade and commended the massive turn out of Obudu sons and daughters at the town hall meeting. "Please, tell your fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters and the opposition parties that Obudu will speak with one for the reelection of Prof. Ben Ayade", he declared.


The meeting was attended by the commissioner on Special Duties and Projects, Hon. Victor  Adugba Agwu, Hon. Special Adviser on Event Management, Hon.Kenn Aklah,Commissioner for Environment, Engineer Mike Eraye,Hon. K.J Agba amongst others.
