Ukorebi | 12 March 2019

The gubernatorial candidate Social Democratic Party in Cross River State has said that he desire to serve Cross Riverian is not borne out of selfish motive or personal interest but a genuine concern for the restoration of the state to its glorious state. As such he is still committed to serve Cross Riverians despite his loss at the polls.

The former Attorney General of the state disclosed this in a thank you message to his supporters signed by the Director General of his Campaign Organization, Mr. Ambo Ekpenyong.

The statement also revealed that Mr. Eyo Ekpo will make his political future known to the public soon, while appreciating his supporters who stood by him all through the electioneering period.

The statement reads in full:

Dear Supporters of "THE RECOVER AND RESTORE TEAM OF SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY  (SDP), CROSS RIVER STATE "

Today, we can lift our head very high and say we fought a good fight of faith. This process have afforded us the opportunity to learn more about the dynamics of life and have given us in real terms the conditions and challenges in the various wards in Cross River  State.
As we await the final official results of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state. We made a promise to keep constantly in touch with the people, we shall still serve the people away from political divides to Socioeconomic benefits. Our intention to serve is never a selfish one, we will constantly engage them on state base issues.

Irrespective of the various challenges experienced at the final lap of the election occasioned by very high voters apathy and election malpractice in some centres, I must commend your efforts great people of SDP Cross River State despite the widespread propaganda and electioneering impunity.

In the coming days we will make a pronouncement on our political future. But be rest assured we are not going to give up for anything, we will keep pressing the upward way.

Finally, I must give glory to the most high God who have seen us and all our supporters through this period of campaign successfully, May your Name be praised forever.
