Joseph Bassey slams Victor Nsa to retain seat for the 3rd time

According to results announced by the electoral umpire of Saturday's elections, 
Rt. Hon. Joseph Archibong Bassey the People's Democratic Party (PDP) House of Assembly candidate who vied to represent Calabar South 2 State Constituency has been re-elected to represent his constituency for the third time. 

The Deputy speaker of the 8th Assembly who is popularly called Papa polled 7,972 votes to defeat his main and closest  contender, Victor NSA of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who gathered 4,041votes. 

In a related events, papa's colleague of constituency 1, Okon Ephraim of the PDP secured 9,941 to defeat his closest rival from the APC, Mr. Effiong Ekarika who polled 4746 votes.
