Buhari approves appointment of Prof. Ikpeme as CMD of UTCH

Prof. Ikpeme Receiving his letter of Appointment from the minister of Health earlier today in Abuja

Ikpeme A. Ikpeme, a Professor and Orthopedic Surgeon has been appointed the new Chief Medical Director, CMD, of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH, by Nigeria's President, Mohammadu Buhari.

The new CMD was earlier today presented with a letter of appointment  by the Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole.

According to a tweet by the nation's minister of Health, the appointment was approved by president Buhari.

The minister further urged Prof. Ikpeme to collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure that University of Calabar Teaching Hospital delivers on its mandate.

The minister's tweet reads thus:

It was my pleasure to present a letter of appointment to Professor Ikpeme A. Ikpeme, the CMD, UCTH after his appointment was approved by President @MBuhari . I urged him to collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure that the hospital delivers on its mandates.
