Over N80,000 up for grabs as UNICAL Senate organises first ever Academic competition



The University of Calabar 6th Senate of the Students' Union Government through the office of the Deputy Senate President Miss, Verval Egbe as put up a ground first-of-its-kind academic event that will not only educate, but financially empower students of the institution as they compete in an all medical student Quiz competition.



The event tagged LET'S DISCUSS which is aimed at promoting academic proficiency and build team spirit among medical and dental students of the University of Calabar will see the students exchanging intellectual discuss on anatomy, Physiology, biochemistry, gynecology, pathology, oral Biology, Paediatrics, etc in a quiz competition. 



According to a statement released by Miss Egbe, the Deputy Senate President, the competition which is solely for students of Medical School of the institution is slated for Monday 15th of January with the preliminaries of the competition holding at Spencer Effem's Hall at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital while the Finals is to take place on the 17th of April at the UNICAL Senate Chambers close to VC block at the university, time is 1pm 



The competition will feature 6 teams with each team comprising 6 members (across the classes ). The teams will be competing for a star prize of N50,000 while the runner up will bag N30,000. The statement from office of the deputy senate president disclosed that there will be lots of consolation prizes for participants and spectators.



 The event is tipped to be the first of its kind, and the best ever to be put up by any student group on campus as lots of dignitaries will grace this occasion, lots of prices as well is to be won at this event, which promises so much fun for UNICAL students. 



Let's Discuss is an academic competition designed by Sen. Verval Egbe (Deputy Senate President of the 6th SUG Senate) University of calabar calabar, a medical student in 400 level medicine and surgery who has love for politics and seeks to encourage her counterparts.
