Linda Ayade FC stranded in Calabar stadium, at the mercies of First lady

Linda Ayade Footbal Club Stranded in Calabar

Cross River state may once again resume her fast tracked backwardness in sporting activities amongst comity of states in the federation, especially in football if nothing is done to forestall the woes that is likely to befall the state second female football team - The newly introduced Linda Ayade FC.

Information has or on good records that the  Linda Ayade Babes are on the verge of being walked over by the Osun Babes of Osogbo in the on-going National Female FA Cup 2019 Round of 25 matches, due to lack of funds.

Pictures and reports gathered by our reporter on Tuesday evening, 11th of June, has it that the girls who were slated to travel to Warri in Delta State for their next league match, were still awaiting the intervention of the First Lady of Cross River, Dr (Mrs) Linda Ayade to enable them honor the match on Wednesday June, 12th.

Meanwhile, Pelican Stars which is the second team, has borrowed money from a local lender with a cut-throat interest rate for the trip to Owerri since they have not received their salaries nor required assistance for the past three months.      Feelers indicate that all efforts made to get the required funds to sponsor these female teams to don the state colours effectively have proved abortive.

It would be recalled that the Pioneer female state owned team has been dwindling in performance and it has just been relegated to the lower rung of the female league in preceding season
