Why I cried during my Inauguration - Alex Egbona

Chief Alex Egbona, member representing Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency in the Green Chambers of the 9th Assembly that was recently sworn into office has said that he shed tears of joy during the event for so many obvious reasons.

Speaking through his official social media handle on Facebook, ALEX EGBONA TRAIN, the Ekureku chief who incidentally is the only elected political office holder in Cross River state from the opposition party, APC, said tears ran down his cheeks when he considered the long, tortuous and challenging journey he has taken to get to the green chambers.

He explained that the tears were tears of Joy that he finally made it and had been sworn in as a member of the National Assembly.

In his words;  "I shed tears of joy yesterday, June 11, for so many reason. Our journey to the house of reps has been long, tortuous and challenging. But we made it and I have been inaugurated as a member of the 9th Assembly". He explained. 

The Former chief of staff to former governor Liyel Imoke used the medium to thank constituents whom according to him stood by him through thick and thing and all those who made it to Abuja to witness the inauguration activities.

According to Chief Egbona, the journey to greatness of the constituency has just begun. He finally called on his teeming supporters, constituents and well wishes to be rest assured that he is with them even as he sought for their continues prayers. 

"The journey to our Eldorado starts now. Rest assured, we are in this together. One thing I will ask of you is to pray for me always. We win always". He said.
