Press Release
AYADE'S CLIMATE CHANGE PROGRAM,A SCAM.
All Progressives Congress in Cross River State has doubted the credence of the Tree Planting and the Environmental Sanitation Programs of the Sen. Ben Ayade led government stating that the current government has never demonstrated the sincerity and political will to perfect on its various signature programs .
The party said in a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary,Mr. Bassey Ita that Sen. Ayade's claim of embarking on climate change programs is being put to test using the various signature programs/projects including the the controversial superhighway and the deep seaport which drew the attention of the President Muhammadu Buhari hitherto.
""We are using the signature projects and programs purportedly embarked upon by Sen.Ayade as a case study. The fact that he has failed to perfect on any of those projects and programs more than four years after there were earmarked upon, shows clearly a lack of political will and sincerity on the part of this government to complete any program", the APC maintained.
According to the statement, "the initiative to plant trees as a way of addressing climate change issues will go just the way of other programs and projects because there won't be any follow up program to achieve the desired results."
The APC also urged the Governor "to.mention exactly how much has accrued to the state which you have equally collected over the climate change and Carbon Emission or REDDs programs for the notice and awareness of the Cross River people.""
It said It was shocked that with all the media hypes regarding salary payment, the state government was still owing alot of staff for well over 13 months and stated that "even the tree planting exercise will end up as another failure".
The APC urges Cross Riverians to "disregard the antics of the Ayade government" saying that "it is only meant to serve the Ayade dynasty and not the overall interest of the state and its people".

BASSEY ITA
