If all I do in four years is provide lasting peace in Odukpani, so be it - Francis Asuquo

These were the words of Rt Hon Francis Asuquo member, representing Odukpani state constituency at the Cross River State House of Assembly, CRSHA, while reacting to the unending communal crisis in Okurikang-Mbiabo-Atan Eki axis which have now affected more than nine communities in Odukpani, claiming several lives and properties worth millions of Naira destroyed.

Hon. Asuquo who reiterated his commitment to ensuring lasting peace is restored in all the warring communities of Odukpani made this known last week while meeting with chiefs, village heads and community leaders of influence  of some communities in Odukpani in the Cross River State House of Assembly complex 

The young energetic handsome and experienced legislator who had been a two-time councilor and leader of Odukpani legislative council, had since assumption of office shown great concern and commitment to ensuring that lasting solution is provided to restore peace in Odukpani LGA.

"Outside my legislative work, if this is one thing I'll do in my four years, so be it, I would make sure peace is restored". He promised.

Hon. Asuquo made it clear that collaboration and joint effort with leaders of these communities and elders from Odukpani is key should this peace initiative be fruitful. He added that all hands must be on deck even as he called on the village heads and the stakeholders to corporate with the government in ensuring peace returns to Odukpani.

He thereafter, emphasized that the elders have a duty to call their youths to order as the peace process in ongoing. 

 "I can't do it alone so i need you all to go back home and call your youths to lay down their weapons. Enough is enough". He concluded.
