A lawmaker and member representing Abi State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. (Dr.) Davies Etta, has donated one hundred pieces of branded shirts towards an advocacy walk put together by Correct 97.3 FM.

The lawmaker who was a guest at the station's morning programme called, Good Morning Show, used the opportunity to reinstate his commitment to ensure peace returns to the local government area. Speaking, Etta opined that peace is coward who does not go near where crisis is found. He therefore, made it clear that he will ensure peace returns to Abi with this, he said other forms of development such as education, infrastructure, health, etc will follow suits.

"In Abi, especially the Bahomono axis, we share the same language and culture we share the same tradition, road network and everything that is basic for survival brings us together so if there's no peace, we can't make much progress. Peace is a coward it does not thrive  where there's insecurity". He informed.

"... My plan is to vigorously work towards securing peace for ourselves and once that's done roads network will open up for commercial, health, education, and economic activities to come through." Etta noted.

On agriculture, the honorable member disclosed that he is on a search for an improved specie of some seedlings which he said when introduced to farmers in his constituency will increase their harvest thus improve the economic condition of the constituency.

"You see we have three terms in schools, so I am thinking of ensuring that our farmers have improved seedlings that can be cultivated and harvested three times in a year instead of the yearly farming or cultivating system. This will keep farmers busy all through the year and they keep making money". He said.

Etta who is also the chairman house committee on Water Supply/Sanitation and Environmental Matters also hinted that he has prepared some projects which he hopes to lobby into the 2020 budget of the state government.
