British Canadian Intl School NEAR Completion - Dr Odey

By Uchino Amatey

The Executive Chairman, Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board (CR-SUBEB), Dr Stephen Odey has said that the British Canadian International school is in the final stages of completion.

Dr Odey made this known during his visit to the project site at Obudu LGA, as part of the Board's routine monitoring of projects across the State.

He commended the contractor, Jukok International Limited for the quality of work done and urged them to speed up work.

The Board Chairman thanked Governor Ben Ayade and the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) for their constant financial support towards the establishment of the school.

He commended Governor Ayade for his vision of raising the standard of education in the state in line with global best practices.

Managing Director, Jukok International, Kanayo Okoye assured of the completion of the project in sixty days.

According to him "I have asked SUBEB to give me sixty days to complete this project. So far, we have achieved about ninty percent completion. Nintey percent of these buildings have been tiled, what we are doing now is fixing doors and windows and then we would proceed to painting afterwards."

Okoye thanked the Governor Ben Ayade led administration for affording them an opportunity to serve.

"We want to thank the State government immensely for patronising us and giving us a chance to serve. The State government has been very supportive and we have had a very smooth working experience," he emphasised.
