C'River SUBEB commend UBEC models schools on Quality Education

The Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board (CR-SUBEB) has commended UBEC Model Junior Secondary Schools Abi and Yala LGAs on quality of education.

The Board Chairman, Dr Stephen Odey gave this commendation during a working visit to these schools as part of the Board's routine monitoring of schools.

While addressing staff of both schools, Dr Odey expressed his satisfaction with the performance of both students and teachers.

According to him "We are here to remind you to remain committed to your responsibility in order to sustain the good reputation you have been able to build within these few years. I am happy that so far you have been able to maintain the vision and mission of the Board concerning the establishment of these schools."

"However, you have to do more, because the reason parents send their children to private schools is because of their academic standard. whether you are a teacher, gardener, cleaner, security man what ever you are, do your work with absolute commitment and you will all see the reward," he reiterated.

While suing for peace and togetherness, the Board Chairman urged them to respect constituted authority. He further charged them to adhere strictly to the school timetable to enable students be abreast with all subjects. 

He commended Governor Ben Ayade for the political will to commence academic activities in these model schools which he said were not in use before this administration.

While calling on parents and guardians to take advantage of the quality of teaching and conducive learning environment of the Schools, Dr Odey said " Our schools in Akpabuyo, Abi and Yala are located in a serene environment with conducive classrooms, adequate boarding facilities, well equipped science and ICT laboratories, sporting facilities, school clinic, and other modern facilities. All these are to enhance effective teaching and learning."
