Breaking: CRSHA to pass 2020 appropriation bill today

According to a Press Release signed by Mr Hope Obeten, Chief Press Secretary to Mr. Speaker, Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams the Cross River State House of Assembly will today, 31st December, pass the State Appropriation Bill 2020 into law. 

The sitting slated for 11:00 am prompt will be held at The Chambers of Cross River State House of Assembly, Leopard Town Road, Calabar. 

It should be recalled that his Excellency, the Governor, senator Professor Ben Ayade had earlier in November presented a budget of Olimpotic Meristemasis pegged at one Trillion, one hundred billion, one hundred and sixty seven million, five hundred and seven thousand naira, nine kobo, of the which Capital expenditure took up to N911 billion representing 82.8 percent of the budget and recurrent expenditure was pegged at N188 billion, representing 17.2 percent of the budget.

During the presentation, the governor informed that direct foreign investment will produce N350 billion while funds to be derived from the various factories and industries his administration is building is estimated at N380 billion, and expected funds from allotment of lands at the Ayade's industrial park is pegged at N12 billion also N120 billion is expected to come from Federal Allocation to the state
