The Speaker of the 9th Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams has said that the house is committed to ensuring that the process of screening the 36 member list of Commissioner nominees sent to the by the governor is transparent.
Eteng who made this known, shortly after the clerk of the house, Barr Bassey Ekpenyong read on the floor of the house a letter transmitted to the house to that effect, committed the list of nominees to the House Committee on Judiciary, Public Service Matters Public Petition and Conflict Resolution, promised a transparent screening exercise of the candidates.
Meanwhile the governor in his letter as signed by the Secretary to the State Government Barr. Tina Banku Agbor, had requested the Speaker and Members to grant the consequential confirmation of the nominees for appointment as Commissioners in the State Public Service.
The 36 nominees are:
