N'Assembly aspirant rallies 10,000 man match for Alex Egbona ahead of rerun

A national Assembly aspirant for the green chamber seat to represent Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency under the auspices of the People's Democratic Party, PDP in the last general elections, senior Comrade Jerome Egbe has concluded plans to mobilise a 10,000 man match to rally support for Dr. Alex Egbona ahead of the Jan. 25th rerun elections for Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency. 

The renowned former Student lease cum Youth Activist, and one time NAN'S President who is from Ekureku Ward 2, said he has declared total support for Hon. Chief, Dr. Alex Egbona for his Re-Run Election slated for 25th January, 2020, stating that a vote for their son is a vote for the liberation of Ekureku Communities and a validation of their yesterday votes for him to continue 
 to facilitate the speeding approvals of the construction of the access roads to Egboronyi, Emienekpo, Ekurekube, Akarefo and other abandoned government projects. 

Comrade Egbe made this known during a stakeholders meeting of Youths and Students leaders held in Calabar. 
The meeting which was well attended by leaders and representatives of the 13 traditional automous communities was anchored on the need to rally support for the re-election of Dr. Alex whom they said is an illustrious son. 

Egbe who spoke to TDN after the meeting lamented that the continuous  absence of a sensitive political office in Ekureku Community by the incumbents government in the state, stating that it is a clear hatred for the Ekureku man. 

"This has always been my pains and my lamentions, therefore, is, this is the time  for an Ekureku man to rise up, protect and defend the one God has given to us.
I want to use this meduim to call on sons and daughters of Ekureku extraction to wake up from their slumber and say our mumu don do, and say no to this injustice, by supporting Dr. Alex Egbona to wipe out our tears of many years of neglect". He said. 

The crux of the netting was the unanimous agreement of leaders present across party lines to defend the mandate given to Dr. Alex, stating that, the Re-Election of Egbona so vital to the development of the Ekureku people, they pledged to support Dr. Alex Egbona to reclaim his mandate even as they work together for the actualization of the Ten Thousand Man Match by January 2020.
