Abi/Yakurr: See how Ayade secured N180m from LG funds for Gaul's election

According to a story published by Bullet News, the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade is in the process of arm twisting Heads of Local Government Administration to secure 10 million Naira from each of the 18 local government in the state. 

The report also has it that the Governor had before leaving for Abuja, Tuesday handed over N50 million secured from the state coffers to Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo with a promise that he is going to Abuja to ensure he prevails on INEC to work in his favour in the forthcoming January 25th rerun in Ekureku 1 and 2. 

BulletsNews reports that a meeting with the 18 HOLGAs was slated to hold Thursday, 23rd January at the deputy governor's wing of the governor's office. 
It was gathered that Ayade gave the instructions to the deputy governor before traveling to Abuja. 

In a recent report circulated by media aides to the governor, The Commissioner of local government affairs, Mrs. Stella Odey in company of the Chief of staff to the Governor, Mr. Martins Orim held a meeting with HOLGAs on the same date in her office in Calabar. 

According to the report, the meeting was geared towards strengthening the local government and ensuring the various budgetary items in their local government were captured and how funds will be released for such projects.
