APC chairmanship candidate knocks hard on Asuquo Ekpenyong

Local News

A Chairmanship candidate for Calabar Municipality in the forthcoming local government elections in Cross River state has gone hard on the state's Commissioner for Finance, Asuquo Ekpenyong.

Comrade Iso Edim who is contesting for the Mayor of Calabar, On he APC platform was down to earth without mincing words when he inquired to know the role the commissioner of Finance is playing towards the confirmation of Justice Akon Ikpeme as the substantive state Chief Judge.

Iso, accused the commissioner of keeping mute in the face of oppression and unfair treatment meted on his sister,(a fellow Eniong indigene) by his paymaster, but was proactive to mobilised other commissioners to contemplate recall processes on National Assembly members perceived to be at war with the governor.
Iso who is also the national chairman of Coalition of Civil Society said:

"Asuquo Ekpenyong Jnr you are an Eniong Son, your Sister Honorable Justice Akon Ikpeme is being Oppressed and Dealt with anyhow by your Paymaster & you are not saying anything? You were fast to Mobilise your Fellow Commissioners to contemplate on how to recall NASS Members who Form PDP, Work med so hard to mold/Build it and Fund it when most of you making noise today were in your Secondary Schools? Most of you came to Political limelight through your Parents and Recommendation of the same People you are blabbing to Recall!!!

On Recall of NASS Members, Stop Embarrassing Yourselves, get a Copy of the Nigerian Constitution, go through the Constitutional Process of Recall, get a Lawyer to interpret it to you Guys and Stop dancing naked in the Public Spaces...........

It takes Two Third Majority of the affected Constituents and a Referendums to recall a Legislator...... Also, have it at the back of your Mind and be inform that NASS Members do not represent PDP Members alone.....

Insignificantly Microscopic Few People cannot Recall NASS Members............. Any attempt to abuse the Constitutional Provisos by your Clique would be met with stiff Resistance..... And most of you shall regret even attempting this your Suicide Mission......

It should be recalled that the Cross River State House of Assembly is yet to confirm Justice Akon Ikpeme who is said to be the highest ranking judge in as state as the substantive chief judge of the state even after the NJC had recommended her for confirmation.
