Developing Story
The Cross River State Judiciary in what could be best described as a birthday present to the Governor of the state has begun an indefinite strike action, today 2nd March 2020.
The state High court was Monday morning seen under lock key while few staff was hanging around with a notice on the wall.
The notice which seems to be the reason for their action is from the State labor congress stating the governor's approval to pay the new N30,000 minimum wage.
Some people believe the adjustment in the governor's approval didn't go down well with the judiciary as in some cases only N2,000 will be added as an increment in their wages.
However, some quarters have argued that the strike action might be connected to the none confirmation of justice Akon Ikpeme as Cross River State Chief Judge.
