In an exclusive interaction with Bisong, he revealed that the bill will be presented before the house, today, Thursday 9th April 2020. Bisong regretted that due to the social distancing order enforced in the state there will be no physical public hearing on the bill, however, a draft of the bill has been forwarded to stakeholders and members of the public to turn in their input on or before Thursday.
He added that members of the public with opinions who are present during the sitting will be granted hearing on the floor of the house.
"In respect of the social distancing order, there will be no physical public hearing hence members of the public and stakeholders in the health cluster are encouraged to read through and send in their contributions within Wednesday n Thursday morning because we are sitting to pass the law on Thursday. Inputs should be addressed to the clerk of the assembly". He stated.
"People present will be allowed to present/ give a public explanation on the floor of the house." He added.
