C'River gets new Police Commissioner, see what he was caught doing with Ayade

New CP aking a stroll with the Governor, Benedict Ayade at the Governor's lodge in Calabar

There are clear indications that Mr. Nkereuwem Akpan who served as Commissioner of Police in Cross River State for a 6 month period (November 2019 - March 2020) has been redeployed to Bayelsa state Command with Mr. Uche Anozia replacing him in Cross River State.

According to a statement signed by the Bayelsa command, Mr. Akpan resumed duty at his new place of assignment on the 26th of March. While the Cross River State Command is yet to make an official statement, Mr. Anozia was recently sighted with Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State at the Itu Bridge keeping watch in a bid to enforce the total locked down order of government.

Again the new CP was sighted taking a stroll with the Governor, Benedict Ayade at the Governor's lodge in Calabar, immediately after the flag off of the No Mask, No Movement campaign in calabar, where the governor rolled out 50 vehicles meant for the Covid19 Response team.

Unconfirmed reports has it that Mr. Nkereuwem's redeployment was influenced by top government officials of the Cross River State government.

Anozia again sighted with Ayade keeping vigil at Itu bridge

It should be recalled that Nkereuwem's short stay in the state had started producing positive result before his redeployment. He personally led the squad that raided a kidnappers hide out along Etta Agbor where three of suspects were arrested and a lady kidnapped the previous night released.

Kidnapping and related crime rate that became the order of the day in the state had started reducing before his redeployment.
