C'River State government to honor Ben Akak, Others, see reasons

The Government of Cross River State led by Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade has said that it will honor Engr. Ben Akak and other humanitarian by writing their names on gold in a status kept in the archive of the state for posterity sake. 


The Commissioner for Health, Dr Betta Edu who made this known in her office while taking delivery of the One Million Naira donation and some PPE Items donated by the Ben Akak Foundation revealed that the state government will honor organizations, foundations, groups, companies and individuals who have shown a sense of responsibility by supporting the state during this challenging period of the Covid19 pandemic.


Edu who poured encomium on Ben Akak and his wife said that the gesture was phenomenal and the first of its kind as she is completely bewildered, called on other citizens to emulate the gesture demonstrated by the Ben Akak Foundation.


According to her "this is a huge response to the team's effort in tackling the dangerous pandemic as the state will ensure those who have supported the course of the fight will have their names written in gold as a remembrance of their efforts to save Cross Riverians." 



"This is phenomenal, for an individual to have a foundation, mobilise great people and be able to do this at this critical time. This is epic, it's exceptional, it is phenomenal." She added. 

"I want to assure you that we will work with the Ben Akak Foundation to assist humanity. You are a good example of the way people should live their life so that when your time here on earth is over, you can  comfortably  tell the creator, I lived a good life... 

"...This means a lot to me, I am grateful, the entire team if grateful, His Excellency the Executive Governor of Cross River State is equally grateful, we will show this to him almost immediately

"Beyond that, this minute, your name goes on the roll call of fame for persons who have fought Covid 19 in Cross River State and at the end of this fight, we will make your full status with all the names of Organizations, Foundations, individuals that have supported this fight, we will write them on Gold and will put them as part of our history in Cross River State." She concluded.
