FG N20,000 relief Fund: "Any account with more than N200,000 won't be credited" - Farouq

The minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development in Nigeria, Sadiya Umar Farouq has given Nigerians an expo to how they can cash in on the Federal Government's N20,000 Stay at home funds. 

Farouq who noted that "Nigeria is too broke to pay N20,000 to 40 million BVN holder noted that the Federal Government is focusing on the poorest of the poorest Nigerians in the Northern part of the country.

"We are not saying that other geopolitical zone are not among just that northern part of the country has more poorest and vulnerable people." She quickly added.

Note that the Federal Government had on Wednesday commenced the payment of N20,000 relief fund or conditional cash transfer to the poorest home in Nigeria.

Speaking at the commencement of the cash transfer at the kwali, the minister revealed that those with more N200,000 in their account won't be given the N20,000 Relief Fund

Minister Farouq disclosed that aside salaries and gratuities to be paid, the country is seriously in debt and cannot at this critical time part away with over N900b needed to fund all the 40 million BVN recognised accounts in the country.
