I won't sleep till C'River is completely safe from Coronavirus - Ayade

The Executive Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade has assured Cross Riverians that he will know no sleep to ensure the state is safe from the Covid19 pandemic.

The governor made this known in a conversation with pressmen during a surprise visit to Itu bridge, border of Cross River State and Akwa Ibom State. 
He said the visit to ensure security men on duty are not relenting their efforts in ensuring the nobody comes in or out of the state. He also informed that he was there to give moral support to the men on duty.

While Akwa Ibom is recording Coronavirus positive we don't have any yet, and for us as a state all our borders must remain shut. So that's why we are here on a confirmatory and solidarity visit and also a kind of support to show our men who are sacrificing their pleasant moments with their families to stay by this road.

"Let us tell the people of Cross River State that we will know no sleep so that they can have sleep, it is for their sake, it is for their love, their own security and safety that we are all out here and I won't thank everybody." The governor stated.

In the same vein, Ayade visited the Cross River State Garment Factory by 12 am, where staff on night shift were seen producing facemasks in their numbers. Ayade who announced double salary for the workers for their commitment said the state is committed to producing over 4.5 million mask in the next one month.
