Ward/LGA Exco list: Ayade suffers Another defeat as NASS Members smile home. See full list

After the People's Democratic Party in Cross River State held wards and Local Government Congresses on the 7th and 21st of March 2020 respectively, the National working committee on the 26th of April 2020 via a later signed by Austin Akobundu, the National Organizing Secretary of the conveyed the result of successful exco members to the state chairman of the party, Ntufam Edim Inok.

According to the letter, the successful Exco members who are to be sworn into office soonest with strict compliance to the NCDC directives of Social Distancing are to occupy their various offices for a period of four years.

Recall that before, during and immediately after the congresses, the party had been faced with some mild internal crisis. This was between the Governor and members of the National Assembly from the state.

The issue at hand was that the Governor had hijack the structure of the party and was always taking decisions that concerns their various wards and constituencies without consulting them.

Therefore they had staged a protest and also written a petition to the NWC of the party. Which led to the setting of a panel of inquiry.

Information had it that the NASS members also produced their own list of Ward and LGA Excos immediately after the Governor sent his own to Wadata House.

From the letter sent with a list of successful excos members all seems not to be well in the governor's camp as it is rumoured that the NWC letter/exco list favors NASS members. A careful look at the list shows that the governor's camp may just have gone home with few local governments especially those from his Northern Senatorial District while NASS Members secured the remaining LGA's with some infiltrations in the North.
