Ukorebi Esien | 15th May 2020

Leader of the 9th Cross River State House of Assembly and member representing Ogoja state constituency, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey has admonished his constituents and Cross Riverians to be calm as the COVID-19 Pandemic which he said is temporal shall soon pass away.

Odey who appreciated God for the rare privilege of serving the state and Ogoja people at such a time as this said as a lawmaker the people of Ogoja state constituency and indeed Cross River and are at the fore of all his activities.

His statement which was published on his official Facebook page reads in full:

"What a matchless love, a great and rare privilege it is to give others a helping hand in any little way we can.

It is so glorious, and humbling to serve my people. I count myself privileged to be a servant-leader to the people of Ogoja and Leader of the 9th Assembly.

In all my dealings as an Assembly Man, what comes to my mind and heart is the Ogoja and Cross River people first.

We are only experiencing a temporary setback in our nation and State.  All the pains is for a moment. This phase too shall pass away. Keep believing in the redemptive blood of Christ. COVID-19 won't last forever."
