For those who may not know who Pastor Emmanuel is, join me as I take you down a brief journey of his profile

Born on the 8th day of June in 1982 to the family of Late Mr/Mrs Michael Effiong Okon Antigha of Itam Ikot Antigha Ene in Esighi Bakassi local government area of Cross river State, Emmanuel or Papa Eyo as he is fondly called began his educational advancement in the famous command children nursery School,13 amphibious brigade Calabar where he obtained his first school leaving certificate.

SOCIAL AND POLITICAL INVOLVEMENT: Hon Emmanuel began participatory politics very early having been born into a family of renowned and prominent politicians worthy of mention as one of his earliest motivators is his uncle of blessed memory Late Hon. Barr. Prince Eyo Okon Eyo whom till date he is popularly named after (PAPA EYO).

This background led to his Early interest in youths and students activism. He emerged as the vice president of a foremost youth organization in southern Cross river State known as Armstrong Association. There is no gain saying that his involvement in the political structure of his principal, Rt. Hon. Apostle Essien Ayi who has in the past 17 years represented dutifully, the good people of
Akpabuyo, Bakassi Calabar South Federal Constituency has influenced his political journey thus making him a voice to reckon with in the politics of Bakassi.

He had had the privilege of being appointed into several positions such as Personal Assistant to Rt.Hon.Apostle Essien Ayi, Laison officer Bakassi to Rt.Hon.Apostle Essien Ayi,  Chairman, Bakassi LGA Football Association, Member Rovers management Board, Public Relations Office, Ayade Ethical Group. Just to mention but a few.

One wouldn't be wrong to say Hon. Emmanuel Effiong garnered experience and love for grassroots politics when in 2008 he served the then Vice Chairman of Bakassi Local Government Council Rt. Hon. Barr. Chief Ene Cobham, as an Industrial Training attached.

As a way of upgrading his knowledge with 21 century model of leadership, Emmanuel was Certified by Afrihub Professional Training Institute.

He got ordained an evangelist on the 4th day of December 2016 and was later elevated to the position of a pastor in 2019 in Arena of True Zion Church Calabar. Pastor Emmanuel Effiong is not just a passionate advocate for the total liberation of the people of Bakassi. He is also a contributor, a supporter and a helper of the less privilege in the society  He has attended several seminars and workshops and have received several awards both locally and nationally

In his acceptance speech as the leader of council, Pastor Emmanuel had called on his colleagues to partner with him in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people while stating the Bakassi people needs to be assured of a new Bakassi after being denied their right, voice and justice.
