Over 20 teams ready to lock horns as  Calabar Soccer Tournament kicks off

Over Twenty (20)  football teams are ready to participate in the first edition of the Calabar Soccer Tournament, organized by Studio 81 Productions Concept. TDN can authoritatively report. 

According to the brain behind the sporting events, Hon. Anthony Duke, the event which kicks off 15th March 2021 is aimed at uniting and promoting peace among youths and encouraging the restoration of Calabar's glory as the most peaceful city in Nigeria 

The event which comes to a climax on the 27th of March is carried out in partnership with the Cross River State Tourism Bureau and Cross River State Football Association. 

Duke informed that the final first (1st) to third (3rd) winners would go home with an award of cash prizes. 

Speaking further, Duke said engaging the youths through the foremost sporting event (football) to effectively communicate the twin pillars of peace and unity while discovering talented players and giving them the opportunity to showcase themselves to the larger football community pan Nigeria and promoting Sport Tourism and building bridges for a friendlier and united Nigeria forms the basis of the tournament which he said will be a yearly event.
