Asu Okang celebrates 40th Birthday, says "it's been a life of speed"

Cross River State Commissioner for Information, Comrade Asu Okang Sunday, 25th of April celebrated his 40th birthday in grand style at the Mary Ekpekin Hall of Channels View Hotel, Calabar.

The event had the several government appointees and members of the political class of the People's Democratic Party extraction as well as other party men, friends, family members and well wishers in attendance.

The elated commissioner speaking with the press just before he stepped into the hall said "for me it's been a life of speed, God has been faithful and He has seen me through, I graduated from school at a very young age, moved into my personal house in my 30's and at 33 I was appointed a commissioner and later returned back in Governor Ben Ayade's second term".

"God has really been faithful and its been quite remarkable. I am excited, I am elated. I will like to use this opportunity to also thank my mother. She has been so supportive, always been there for me, she could sacrifice anything for my sake. I mean she could give up anything. That's why the last one year when she was very sick, getting to the point of having an amputation. It was very very difficult for me. But coming out of it I give God the glory.

Let me also acknowledge my wife, Stella, she's a Pillar of support. Very fundamentally, on behalf of my family, I thank Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade His Excellency the governor for giving us the platform for us to explore." He concluded. 

Asu Okang an only child of the mother celebrated his 40th birthday amidst loved ones, friends and family.
