Hon. Samuel Odinye laid to rest amid Tears

ANAMBRA - The remains of Hon. Samuel Chukwuemeka Odinye of Ifite  Village, Ogbunike has been laid to rest amid tears.

Hon. Samel one of the multi - instrumentalist, a music composer in Ogbunike died at the age of 51. 

He was popularly referred to as Egwubuegwu which many described him as man of many parts.

Commiserating with the family, the Governor of Anambra State Chief Willie Obiano said " Each of us prays earnestly that God grants us our full length of days". 

"Hence  at moments like this, we are humbled by the fact that death is a necessary end that comes upon all men unannounced".

The Governor who was represented by  Commissioner for Transport Mr. Afam Mbanefo further uttered disbelief about the sudden death of Late Hon. Odinye stating that his melodious music rendition, passion and dedication to task assigned to him by both the Governor and the Ministry would be sorely missed.

He however, prayed God to grant the deceased a peaceful rest.

" We pray that God whom Sam loved, worshipped and sang his praises will grant his gentle soul a peaceful rest, grant his immediate and extended families, friends the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss".

Also, Commissioner for Trade and Commerce Sir Uche Okafor in his condolence message who described the Late Mr. Odinye as his ally and trusted one  said his death was a sudden home call which was an eclipse on All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) party, family and Ogbunike community.

Earlier in his homily " Are You in the Number"  Bishop Patrick Okoye of the Word Ministry in his message of grace counseld Wife of the deceased Mrs  Joy Odinye , children and family  not to loose hope but to abide in the power of God as death was unavoidable.

The Burial Service was attended by Transition Committee Chairman Oyi LGA Mr. Nnamdi Nwadiogbu who represented  Wife of the Governor Dr. Ebelechukwu Obiano.

Other dignitaries included TC Chairman Orumba South Hon. Cyril Okere, Former Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Indigenous Artwork, Culture and Tourism Mr. Christian Madubuko, Media Practitioners Members of Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) , Ochiagha age grade, Ogbunike, among others.

Untill his death Late Hon. Samuel Chukwueneka Odinye ( Egwubuegwu) served as a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State , Ministry  of Transport.
