WHD 2021: C'River can become the fastest growing economy in Nigeria if... Engr. Ben Akak

World Humanitarian Day: C'River can become the fastest growing economy in Nigeria if influential C'Riverians will maximize on their influence and position to help the poor and needy - Engr. Ben Akak

As the world stood still to celebrate and appreciate the wonderful and selfless works of humanitarians all over the world, a Cross River based Philanthropist cum business mogul, Engr. Ben Akak has called on Cross Riverians to be kind to one another, stating that little acts of kindness and love can help grow the economic fortune of the state.

Akak made this known via a press statement issued by his Foundation to commemorate the 2021 edition of world Humanitarian Day. He further stated that the Foundation was founded on the mantra of rendering services to God and Humanity which he emphasized that the foundation will not stop doing.

The renown business magnet opined that if influential Cross Riverians leverage on their wealth, connections and positions in helping humanity, the State's economy will be one of the fastest growing in the country.
"If the rich, the strong, the influential amongst us use their influence, wealth or position to the growth of humanity and Cross Riverians, Cross River State will be one of the best and fastest growing state in Nigeria." He said.

The statement reads in full:

Today, 19th August, has been set aside by the United Nations for the celebration of the humanitarians world over and remembrance of great souls who died in the field while risking their lives, time and resources to save others.

For us at the Ben Akak Foundation, a humanity centred civil society organization; we will not let this day slip away without joining our voice to the numerous voices of other humanitarians globally to celebrate the act of humanitarianism and humane gesture demonstrated especially by many Nigerians and Cross Riverians alike who have risked their lives for the sake of humanity.

As a Foundation, we want to state here while commemorating this special day that we will not relent our effort in helping humanity. Service to God and Humanity is the core of being as a Foundation — thus, it forms the mantra of our motto and that we have been doing.

The Ben Akak Foundation registered over 500 Cross Riverians into the AyadeCare Health Scheme to access free Medical care

As we join the world in the celebration of this day, we urge all Cross Riverians to ensure to do good to others. The concept of humanitarianism is simply "People helping People" and this isn't a difficult thing to do.  Let's continue to be our brothers' keeper and be good to one another. Even the Holy writ in Proverbs 19:17 and Acts 20:35 had admonished that we do good and show kindness to one another.

If the influential amongst us will use their influence, wealth or position to the growth of humanity and Cross Riverians, then Cross River State will be one of the best and fastest growing economies in Nigeria.

Once again, The Ben Akak Foundation wishes to express satisfaction with the Ben Ayade's administration that is people oriented and given to the cause of humanity as expressed in her policies and programs especially in the area of government expansion and several assistance given to young persons and other vulnerable persons in the state.

We urge all Cross Riverians home and abroad to continually pray for Cross River State and our leaders. For this is the greatest responsibility we owe our state.

Thank you and God bless!
