Lashakara Empowers Over 1000 Sec. Sch. Students With School Fee, Writing Materials, Uniforms etc

As schools resume for the 2021/2022 academic session, Mr. Joseph Edet aka Lashakara, MD, Summit Hills and Cross River Garment Factory has empowered not less than one thousand Secondary School Students in Odukpani and Calabar Municipality Local Government Areas.

In a week long "Back to School Tour" an initiative of The Joseph Edet Project, where over 10 Secondary schools within the two Local Government Areas were reached, the Entrepreneur-turn-Politician went round various classes selecting randomly indigent students who didn't have foot wares, school uniforms and had difficulty in payment of school fees. In all across the 10 schools, over 1000 students were blessed with Exercise Books, School Sandals, School Uniforms and several had their school fees paid while many were placed on a one session scholarship by the Joseph Edet Project.

Speaking at various instances across the schools, Edet described the event as a necessary priority in the list of his schedule which he said is a means of providing succor and hope for the poor and vulnerable kids who are forced to stay at home due to inability to pay fees and/or acquire educational materials.

"Ours is simple, let's give these little kids hope by supporting them the little way we can, that way, we are helping to build a future for our state and country", he said this while adopting a kid who has been forced to repeat twice for failure to pay fees that will enable him sit for promotional exams.

The teachers were also not left behind, as they were appreciated by the Joseph Edet Project for the service of grooming the children.
