Raise your Children with Good Morals and Pray for Them Always, LG Boss Urge Calabar South Women

As the rate of insecurity, cyber crime and ritual killings become alarming in the state and country, the Chairman of Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State, Hon. Esther Bassey has called on women in Calabar South to change the narrative of a rough and insecure Calabar South by grooming and raising goodly children that won't pose any form of insecurity in the area. 

The council boss who also admonish mothers to keep praying for their children so that they will become good ambassador of their homes and communities made this known during an event in Calabar South, where some widows and vulnerable women were empowered.

The event hosted by the leader of female Councilors' Forum, Cross River State, Hon. Grace Bassey Duke and her husband had widows and vulnerable women receiving food items and cash. 

Speaking at the event, The Calabar South LG boss, Hon. Mrs Esther Bassey popularly called Queen of South, thanked Pastor Duke and his wife Hon. Grace Bassey Duke for their thoughtfulness and generosity towards widows, while charging women to always pray for their kids, and  groom them into responsible adults.

 In her words, "...I sincerely thank our pastor and his wife for putting smiles on the faces of these widows, may God  bless and richly increase them so they can do more in Jesus name. Speaking to the beneficiaries, she said, "Be friendly with your kids so they can confide in you, have conversations with them but never fail to instill discipline while they are still young; stop being anxious about your situation, instead remain thankful to God for life while trusting him to provide for the well being of your children."

As a way of supporting the project, the Queen of South in her magnanimity,  presented an undisclosed amount to the widows.
