Yala Council Boss Receives FG's Part on the Back for Embarking on People Orientated Projects




The Chairman of Yala Local Government Area in Cross River State, Hon. Barr. Fabian Ogbeche, has been applauded by the Federal Government's inspectorate and monitoring team of the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter Governmental  Affairs, for embarking on People Orientated Projects in the Council which according to the team touches all facets of the economy and human endeavors. 

This was during an assessment tour of project across the 774 local government areas across Nigeria. The team lead by visit by Engr. Kayode Adebayo, arrived  Yala Local Government Council Secretariat in Okpoma to continue the assessment and were pleased with what they saw and heard. 


Commending the leadership of the Council Area, Engr. Kayode, said Barr. Fabian had a well organized leadership and that his projects are well thought out to affect his people directly, reduce deficiency and increase internally generated revenue. 


Taking the team round project sites, the Chairman of council, Hon. Barr. Fabian Ogbeche lauded the federal government for such a lofty initiative, which he said, is one of it's kind, and will go a long way to spur Council Chairmen to be on their toes for service delivery to their constituents. 

Projects embarked upon by the council include, the Oil Palm Seedlings, the cassava stems multiplication farm, the already harvested yellow maize seed multiplication ready for distribution to farmers, water projects, education(books and distribution of laboratory equipment to schools across the fourteen wards of Yala LG), meeting of welfare needs etc. 


Climax of the visit, was the inspection of some projects within the Council premises to include, the fully renovated political block housing the vice chairman's office, secretary's office, construction of first ever conference room, building of office blocks, renovation of council gate, landscaping and beautification of council entrance among others.
