Ben Akak Addressing Street Children in Calabar

Ben Akak Foundation to Provide Solace, Accommodation and Training to Calabar Street Children

The Ben Akak Foundation will in the coming days ensure the popular Calabar street Children's code-named, "Skolombo"  are taken off the street while many of them will be sent back to school as well as given training in various vocational skills.

This was revealed by the Chairman of the Ben Akak Foundation, Engr. Ben Akak earlier this morning when he met some of the children crying along Marian Road, Akak upon sighting them, stopped his car and came down to attend to their immediate needs with some cash.

Speaking with the children, the humanitarian cum philanthropist promised to ensure they are taken off the street, stating that provisions will be made through the foundation for their education and them to learn a skill or trade.

Akak who was moved to tears lamented a situation where if nothing is done to give the children a better life, they may become serious security concerns in the nearest future. He, therefore, said the Ben Akak Foundation will ensure the children are taken off the street and given a better life and the opportunity to become a positive influence in society.
