As political parties begin the process of selecting candidates ahead of the 2023 general elections, which have been predicted to be a tug of war, the Ayade's Young

Appointees Forum has introduced another smart moves to the game of politics with the aim of giving the All Progressives Congress an edge in the general elections.  

The APC Princess Crown introduced is said to be marvel that will set the ball rolling for mass registration of young persons into the party. 

As it's pioneer Princess, Miss Faith Ejeje a one time Chapter Chairman aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Abi Local Government Area, will be spearheading the process that will birth this dream across the state.

The event which took place at the Party secretariat along Mutalar Muhamade in Calabar had some members of the State Working Committee in attendance led by the State Women leader. Dr Pauline Akor. 

In his remarks Ambassador Jerry Odey  leader of the Ayade Young Appointees Forum said the Forum saw the need to integrate young females into mainstream politics as well as give the party a robust grassroots acceptance amongst young people in the state, it decided to introduce pageant which he said will appeal to young people.

Speaking at the event, the State Women Leader Dr. Pauline Akor, charged the Princess to use her office to win more convert to the party while encouraging innovative ideas from young persons across the state. Dr. Akor said the APC Princess is a great innovation that if properly harnessed can revolutionise the fortune of the party ahead of the 2023 general elections. 

While decorating the Princess, the Deputy State Women Leader, Maria-Assumpta Offiong encouraged Miss Faith Ejeje to be a good ambassador and representation of the crown, charging her to discharge her duties by being a good role model to young females, mold them and win them to the party.

Comrade Esoung, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Calapharm, informed that the crown will be replicated across the 18 Local Government Areas of the State with wards and poling unit representatives. 

In her appreciation, the Newly Crowned Princess of the Party, Faith Ejeje expressed gratitude for the privilege of being the face of the party and a symbol of identity amongst young people in Cross River State. She promised to live up to expectations and even more. The newly crowned Princess informed the cheering crowd that as a sign of her commitment, she came along with a decampee who was a Councilor aspirant in PDP but have decided to defect to APC because of the pageantry. 

Crown which is an innovation of the Ayade Young Appointees Forum is geared towards mainstreaming Young girls from 18yrs and above into the party with the strategy of replicating the crown across 18 Local Government Areas, wards and polling unit in the state while engineering the process of party registration and PVC acquisition.
