"As governor of Akwa Ibom State for eight years, there was never a time in my life, I took Cross River State to Court. Never, instead I fought against it.

"But the politicians will not tell you the truth, because they will have to tell you lies, something to make sure you vote them into power.

"I advised against going to Court, I told them that 40 percent of the population in Calabar comprises of Akwa Ibom People, why fight each other?

"I wrote a letter to the then president, I said whatever Cross River State was getting from the oil well, continue to pay them. The sum of 18.6bn was deducted from Akwa Ibom State money and sent to Cross River State .

"But your government, stubbornly went to court, we did not take Cross River State oil well, no! your government went to court and lost against my advice, I set up a committee to advise the then governor, that we are too close .

"No body gave me the opportunity of say the truth, but today because we are a progressive Congress I will say the truth.

" If you ever find out otherwise, that I took Cross River State to Court, or instigated any lawsuit, please on the 29th of this month in the presidential primaries then don't vote for me". He said.
