UPDATE: PDP C'River Guber Primary, Voting Completed, as Ballot Sorting Begins

Delegates from the 196 wards of the state are done casting their votes in a peaceful and orderly manner with no record of violence recorded.

Monitoring the process, our correspondent reports that the delegates were called out from the 18 Local Government Areas alphabetically and in accordance with the wards. 

Before commencement, it was announced that aside from the former deputy governor, Barr Efiok Cobham who withdrew from the race, all other aspirants contested the primaries. 

Members were asked to dispel the rumours of some aspirants stepping down. 

The total number of delegates voting in the election is about 600. They are to decide the party's flag bearers.

Immediately after the ballot have been sorted, they will be counted and results will be announced. 

The winner will thereafter contest the general election slated for March next year.
