2023: "Let Me Be Your Last Joker", Ayade Woos Other Aspirants

Ahead of the ruling All Progressives Congress Elective Convention, where the presidential standard bearer of the party will be chosen, Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has called on all other aspirants of the party to consider him as the last joker that will redeem the image of the party towards victory come 2023 presidential election.

Speaking in a statement uploaded on the governor's official Facebook page, Ayafe called on his colleagues to support his ambition as his strategy has been quiet, non-controversial but in touch with the entire delegates nationwide.

"I am calling on all of you my colleagues to support my ambition as PRESIDENT of our great nation.

Mine is our collective project where the shared responsibility of the incoming government lies with us all.

My strategy has been quiet, non-controversial but in touch with the entire delegates nationwide. Let me be your last joker." He said.

Recall that Buhari had asked the governors under his party to give him their support as he selects his successor. Shortly after then there were rumours that northern governors and as stakeholders from the north had signed to the agreement of a southern president.

But recent information has it that the leadership of the party had disclosed a consensus candidacy while the governors had early this morning presented a list of five aspirants as their choice presidential aspirants to Mr President.

Insiders' gist has it that the list didn't include any aspirant from the Northern region of the North.
