BREAKING: APC Panel Disqualifies 10 Presidential Aspirants

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential screening committee has disqualified 10 of the 23 aspirants seeking the party's ticket to contest the 2023 general poll.

A former national chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, who is chairman of the screening committee stated this on Friday afternoon while submitting the report of the screening exercise to the APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu on Friday in Abuja.

With the disqualification, only 13 of the aspirants will contest the party's primary election slated for 6th to 8th of this month. 

This is amidst rumors of the president's insistence that a consensus would be a preferred method of selecting the party's candidate. It was reported that the nation's president had sometime last week in a meeting pleaded with governors of his party to support him choose his successor.
